婆罗门的泰戈尔

一、泰戈尔属于婆罗门种姓，父亲是宗教改革家，6个哥哥也跟随其父亲，他受家庭聘用教师获得教育，14岁即发表第一首长诗《野花》。1878年去英国学读书两年，至1913年他以《吉檀迦利》（冰心翻译过这本书）荣膺诺贝尔文学奖。
1. Tagore was born into the Brahmin caste. His father was a religious reformer, and his six older brothers also followed in their father's footsteps. He was educated by tutors hired by the family and published his first long poem, "Wild Flowers," at the age of 14. In 1878, he went to England to study for two years. In 1913, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for "Gitanjali" (which was later translated into Chinese by Bing Xin).
二、泰戈尔著名的诗作除了《吉檀迦利》（意即献给神的诗）之外，还有故事诗《两亩地》、抒情诗《园丁集》、《飞鸟集》等。
