罗曼·罗兰的《贝多芬传》

一、20世纪初，罗曼·罗兰感于世风日趋颓靡，于是把变革现实的希望寄托于“英雄”人物的力量，他先后写了《贝多芬传》、《米开朗基罗传》、《托尔斯泰传》等。
1. In the early 20th century, Romain Rolland, troubled by the increasingly decadent social climate, placed his hope for changing reality in the power of "heroic" figures. He successively wrote biographies such as "Beethoven," "Michelangelo," and "Tolstoy."
二、《贝多芬传》中贝多芬出生于一个贫寒的家庭，他的父亲是歌剧演员，性格粗鲁，爱酗酒，母亲是个女仆。
2. In "Beethoven," it is noted that Beethoven was born into a poor family. His father, an opera singer, was coarse in character and prone to heavy drinking, while his mother worked as a housemaid.
三、小贝多芬从小就被剥夺了学习、休息和娱乐的时间，被强迫没完没了地练习钢琴和小提琴。
3. From a young age, Beethoven was deprived of time for study, rest, and recreation, being forced to practice the piano and violin incessantly.
四、1787年，贝多芬前往维也纳拜他仰慕已久的偶像莫扎特为师。可惜，因为母亲病逝，贝多芬在维也纳的学习时光很快就中断了。过度悲痛使他接二连三地得了几场大病，其中一次是出天花，永远地毁了他的容貌，甚至听觉也越来越衰退。
4. In 1787, Beethoven went to Vienna to study under his long-admired idol, Mozart. Unfortunately, his studies in Vienna were soon interrupted by his mother's death. Overwhelming grief led him to fall seriously ill several times; one bout of smallpox permanently scarred his face, and his hearing also began to deteriorate progressively.
五、1801年，贝多芬爱上了一位名叫朱丽埃塔的姑娘，但由于他的耳聋，两年后这位姑娘嫁给了一个伯爵。肉体与精神的双重折磨，都反映在他这一时期的《幻想奏鸣曲》和《克勒策奏鸣曲》等作品中。
5. In 1801, Beethoven fell in love with a woman named Giulietta. However, due to his deafness, she married a count two years later. The dual torments of physical and spiritual suffering are reflected in works from this period, such as the "Moonlight Sonata" and the "Kreutzer Sonata."
