二、被誉为"美国生活的幽默百科全书"的欧·亨利在奥斯汀银行工作期间涉嫌贪污无奈跑路到洪都拉斯，因妻子病重他偷偷回去探望却被抓住，他在狱中开始认真写作，以稿酬补贴狱外女儿的生活费用，而他出狱后却在创作盛年病逝了。
2. O. Henry, hailed as the "humorous encyclopedia of American life," was suspected of embezzlement during his tenure at an Austin bank and fled to Honduras. When his wife fell seriously ill, he secretly returned to visit her but was captured. He began writing seriously in prison, using the earnings to support his daughter outside. However, he died of illness at the peak of his creative career after his release.
