一、在很多人的印象中，蒙古族是马背上的民族，文化修养有限，但他们建立的朝代取名为元，是大有来历的，这个元字是取自于《易经》“大哉乾元”之意，也代表了其对中华文化的景仰。
1. In the minds of many, the Mongols were a horse-riding people with limited cultural refinement. However, the name "Yuan" for the dynasty they established has profound origins. The character "Yuan" was taken from the phrase "How great is the Qian Yuan" in the "Book of Changes," representing their admiration for Chinese culture.
二、朱元璋将自己的朝代取名为明，就有很多争议了。很多人认为，这是因为朱元璋出身于明教，所以才有此名。
2. The naming of Zhu Yuanzhang's dynasty as "Ming," however, is quite controversial. Many believe it was because Zhu Yuanzhang had roots in the Ming Cult, hence the name.
三、而另一些人认为，元是北方政权，按照风水来说，是水，属阴，而朱元璋定都南方，要用南方之火明来镇住北方之水阴。
3. Others argue that since the Yuan was a northern regime, it was associated with the water element (Yin) according to Feng Shui. Zhu Yuanzhang, establishing his capital in the south, intended to use the southern fire element (Ming) to subdue the northern water (Yin).
四、朱元璋考虑要认宋朝的大圣人朱熹为祖先，但朱熹生活的年代离他太近了，不太好浑水摸鱼。
4. Zhu Yuanzhang considered claiming the great Song Dynasty sage Zhu Xi as an ancestor, but Zhu Xi's era was too close to his own, making it difficult to obscure the facts.
五、朱元璋规定凡是开垦荒地的，就免除三年租税，但江浙地区，由于当地的人民支持张士诚，他对此十分不满，规定江浙地区赋税高于其他地方数倍。从这里我们可以看出，朱元璋是个有仇必报的人。
5. Zhu Yuanzhang decreed that anyone who reclaimed wasteland would be exempt from taxes for three years. However, due to his strong dissatisfaction with the people of Jiangsu and Zhejiang for supporting Zhang Shicheng, he imposed taxes several times higher in that region than elsewhere. From this, we can see that Zhu Yuanzhang was a man who bore grudges and sought to settle scores.
