曹雪芹的叛逆之心
《蒋勋说红楼梦》（171）
一、宝玉挨打以后，那么多人陆陆续续跑来，黛玉一直都没有出现，深情到一定程度的时候，是不会到现场的。此时作者才透露出爱宝玉爱得最深的人，其实是黛玉。
1. After Baoyu was beaten, many people came one after another, but Daiyu never appeared. When affection reaches a certain depth, one does not appear at the scene. It is at this moment that the author reveals that the person who loved Baoyu the most was actually Daiyu.
二、宝玉是完全对抗儒家的，他永远不会因为爸爸的教训，而去好好读书做官。他关心的不是伦理，而是觉得只有维持深情才是真正的人生。
2. Baoyu completely opposed Confucianism. He would never study hard or become an official just because of his father's admonitions. He cared not for ethics, believing that only by maintaining deep affection could one truly live.
三、从小说的结构来看，作者为什么先写宝钗，再写黛玉，再写凤姐？因为只有这样，两个人中间夹着的黛玉，才能被凸显出来，作者的重点是"情中情以情感妹妹"，所以必须要有前后两个人来做参照。
3. From the novel's structure, why did the author first write about Baochai, then Daiyu, and then Xifeng? Because only by sandwiching Daiyu between two other characters could she be highlighted. The author's focus was "using layered emotions to move my cousin," thus requiring two other characters as references before and after.
四、"王夫人正坐在凉榻上摇着芭蕉扇子"，注意，季节背景又出来了，从刚才的袷纱被、栉沐，到现在的凉榻、芭蕉扇……小说的季节不见得一定要说今天气温多少度，只是点几个物件出来，告诉读者这是夏天。
4. "Lady Wang was sitting on a cool couch, waving a palm-leaf fan." Notice how the seasonal context emerges again - from the earlier lined gauze quilt and washing, to now the cool couch and palm-leaf fan... The novel doesn't necessarily need to state the exact temperature, but simply mentions a few objects to tell readers it's summer.
五、王夫人要向袭人打听是不是贾环出卖了宝玉，袭人知道是的，但她只能谎称不知道，因为这种话很可能会要下人的命。
5. Lady Wang wanted to ask Xiren if it was Jia Huan who betrayed Baoyu. Xiren knew it was true, but she could only falsely claim ignorance, because such words could easily cost a servant their life.
