耐心与速度的诀择

一、陈友谅为了能够控制天完国，杀害了威信非常高的赵普胜，他是因此巩固了自己的权利，但是此举让他彻底失去了人心。
1. In order to gain control of the Tianwan Kingdom, Chen Youliang killed the highly respected Zhao Pusheng. While this action consolidated his power, it completely cost him the people's support.
二、变化就在人们的心里。这是一个背信弃义的人，人们对陈友谅的评价大抵如此，从此天完的士兵们不再为了建立自己那理想的天完国打仗，他们打仗只是要拿饷银，活下去。
2. The change occurred in people's hearts. "This is a perfidious man"—this was generally how people evaluated Chen Youliang. From then on, the Tianwan soldiers no longer fought to establish their ideal Tianwan Kingdom; they fought merely to collect their pay and survive.
三、如果是朱元璋就绝对不会这样做，在朱家一统天下后为了让大明朝能大权独揽，朱元璋足足等待了七年让胡惟庸在丞相位上胡作非为，然后找到足够理由废除了丞相这一个分权的职位。
3. Zhu Yuanzhang would never have acted this way. After the Zhu family unified the realm, in order to consolidate the Ming Dynasty's absolute power, Zhu Yuanzhang waited a full seven years, allowing Hu Weiyong to abuse his power as Chancellor, before finding sufficient grounds to abolish the Chancellorship—a position that shared power.
四、而陈友谅不想等就罢了，连一个象样点的理由也不找。这也是实力最强大却最终败给朱重八的核心原因之一。
4. As for Chen Youliang, not only was he unwilling to wait, he didn't even bother to find a decent pretext. This was one of the core reasons why, despite having the strongest forces, he ultimately lost to Zhu Chongba.
五、要说陈友谅没有耐性也不是，他为了一举击败朱元璋明知自己首都旁的洪都反水了也没有象平时那样风风火火去打，他要等朱元璋漏出破栈然后再尽其功于一役。
5. It's not that Chen Youliang entirely lacked patience. In his bid to defeat Zhu Yuanzhang in one decisive blow, even though he knew Hongdu near his capital had defected, he didn't rush to attack as he normally would. He waited for Zhu Yuanzhang to reveal a weakness, intending to achieve total victory in a single campaign.
