宝钗的城府
一、宝钗向袭人诉说史湘云在家很苦，有时候做针线要做到三更半夜，让袭人以后不要再找史湘云为宝玉做针线了。最后宝玉的针线都让宝钗去做了。
1. Baochai told Xiren that Shi Xiangyun had a very hard life at home, sometimes doing needlework until the middle of the night, and asked Xiren not to request Xiangyun to do needlework for Baoyu anymore. In the end, Baochai took over all of Baoyu's needlework.
二、《红楼梦》你越看得多，就越害怕，看似不经意的地方，作者都有伏笔。你甚至会疑惑宝钗到底有没有夸张，史湘云在家里面的遭遇是不是真的有那么严重。

三、宝钗似乎总是在该出现的时候出现，而且出现后该说的话、想要的结果，好像总是在她的安排和设计当中。
3. Baochai always seems to appear exactly when needed, and once she does, the right words to say and the desired outcomes all seem to be part of her arrangement and design.
四、“袭人道：‘偏生我们那个牛心左性的小爷…“牛心左性”四个字，一个好的文学家用词会非常传神，就是像牛一样拗，我要你往右，你偏要往左，这其中包含着对宝玉怪脾气的无奈。
4. Xiren said: "It just so happens that our stubborn and contrary young master..." The phrase "stubborn and contrary" — a good writer's choice of words is very vivid — means as obstinate as an ox; if I want you to go right, you insist on going left. This conveys a sense of helplessness towards Baoyu's peculiar temper.
五、《红楼梦》的编排非常有趣，就在大家已经忘掉金钏儿的时候，隔了几回忽然提到金钏儿跳井自杀了。本来只是一个小男孩逗了逗一个丫头，这个丫头就被判定为勾引主子，挨了一巴掌后被赶了出去，到这时大家才意识到这个事件酿成了多大的悲剧。
5. The arrangement of "Dream of the Red Chamber" is very interesting. Just when everyone had forgotten about Jinchuan, several chapters later it is suddenly mentioned that she jumped into a well and committed suicide. What was originally just a young boy teasing a maid led to the maid being judged as seducing her master. After being slapped, she was driven out, and only then did everyone realize what a great tragedy this incident had caused.
